All applicants must submit a cover letter and a resume, as well as 3 references, providing their names and contact information, as well as any other information that you believe will assist us in the interview process. We will contact you within 7-10 business days of your application submission if we feel that you are a potential fit for our open positions with possible interviews to follow. We encourage applicants to follow up on their own as well.
Interns may do most of their work virtually and in their own preferred locations, such as the office, one’s home, a campus library, or a café. Virtual interns from all colleges will be considered if there are no significant conflicts regarding timing and interacting.
All interns must commit to working a minimum of 10 hours per week during the academic year. Midterm and final exam weeks are flexible periods.
Our 2-hour weekly on site or remote Skype meeting will consist of brainstorming, strategizing, as well as collaborative work. The CEO and director of operations will attend meetings to contribute to general discussions, and to help interns with their projects.
Written and verbal performance evaluation meetings will be conducted with each intern monthly. And, finally, additional meetings will be held as needed and virtually over Skype.
Interns are primarily unpaid with monthly stipends potentially offered based on need. Interns also have the opportunity to earn compensation and/or bonuses based on project type, performance, commitment, and quality of work. Future contracted work, as well as part-time, and/or full-time employment may be available upon completion of internship, and, again, based on the factors mentioned above.
Committed and driven interns with a high-interest in HIMC may be offered full time employment based upon performance and some may even be offered an equity stake in the company.
We welcome applicants seeking academic credit and we will do all we can to help you.
Interns are often assigned projects of which they are given primary responsibility, as well as an opportunity to actualize their unique potential.
Fun is Rejuvenating:
A few of our collaborative “work sessions” will serve as fun outings! P.S. We love food.
