What Does A Student Group Do?
First, a student group must register their organization, inputting their group’s 2 executives and treasurer. These three members will work together in deciding where the money raised through HIMC will go in order to fulfill their group’s fundraising needs. The treasurer has the extra task of receiving and recording funds received from Here Is My Coupon.
Student groups must also have at least one registered HIMC Sales Rep. Sales Reps can fundraise for a group of which they ARE a member or they can represent and fundraise on behalf of a group of which they are NOT a member. Sales Reps approach local merchants, share their group’s fundraising needs, and request that merchants post coupons to HereIsMyCoupon.com. If a merchant approached by a sales rep chooses to post coupons to our site, the student group represented earns $45 and the sales rep earns $30 in commission for him/herself. Sales reps can also serve as one of their group’s executives or as the treasurer.
If a student group does not have an individual that wants to work as a sales representative, Here Is My Coupon may be able to provide the group with a sales rep in the area that has previously registered. Student groups can have multiple sales reps fundraising for them, and each sales rep earns $30 commission per coupon they recruit to HereIsMyCoupon.com.
Once the coupons that the sales rep(s) have recruited to our site are activated, Here Is My Coupon sends the sales reps and the student group their earned funds.
Why Should My Group Take Part In This Program?
Once a merchant approached by your group’s sales rep(s) has registered and activated coupons on our website, your student group and sales reps will receive a payment directly from Here Is My Coupon. For every coupon successfully recruited to our site, the credited student group earns $45 to put towards its fundraiser and the credited sales rep earns $30 commission.
In addition to earning funds for your student group, those individuals involved in your group’s fundraising (the executives, treasurer, and sales reps) will gain business and communication skills that can serve as valuable resume boosters.
How Does My Group Refer A Merchant TO Here Is My Coupon?
One of your group’s sales reps will approach local merchants, share your group’s fundraising needs, and encourage merchants to post coupons on HereIsMyCoupon.com. If a merchant that your sales rep approached decides to register and post coupons on our site, your student group will earn $45 to put towards its fundraiser, and your sales rep will earn $30 commission for his/her efforts.
Will My Group Always Exist?
Each college or university may have up to 3 registered student groups fundraising through Here Is My Coupon at any given time. If a student group wants to fundraise through HIMC but their school already has 3 groups fundraising through HIMC, this group can request to be placed on our waiting list by emailing us at email@example.com. If one of the registered groups at this college becomes complacent or chooses to no longer fundraise through Here Is My Coupon, then the student group on our waiting list will be contacted.
Once your student group decides to participate in Here Is My Coupon, the following steps will assist your group in successfully activating your account.
Once the requirements are met, choose a representative from your student group to follow these group registration steps:
Once your executives have activated their new Student Group account, your group will be active and may begin fundraising with your own sales representatives or with sales representatives that have previously registered and will be provided to you by Here Is My Coupon.

HIMC buzz will increase the number of Coupon Finders visiting our site. And the more people using our coupons, the more likely merchants will be to post coupons. And, finally, the more merchants that post coupons onto Hereismycoupon.com through your sales rep’s outreach, the more money your group will earn to put towards its fundraiser! Therefore, HIMC buzz=more money for your group!
Here Is My Coupon provides registered student groups and sales reps with business cards. These business cards can be given to merchants while your sales rep(s) are on their sales visits. And, this way, merchants who have been approached by your reps will have your group’s info and your sales reps info and, thus, will be able to properly credit your group and sales rep when activating their coupons. Once a merchant credits your group and its sales rep, your group is sent $45 from HIMC, and your sales rep is sent $30 commission for his/her efforts.
Here’s how to access your group’s business cards:
HIMC has written articles that can be published your school's newspaper or magazine. Requesting that this article be published will encourage your school community to use our coupons. And, the more your school community uses our coupons, the more likely merchants will be to post coupons onto HereIsMyCoupon.com. The result, then, is that your group will be able to more easily recruit merchants to our site, thus, enabling your group to earn more money to put towards its fundraiser!
Follow these steps to access our college newspaper/magazine article:
Posting flyers in your area will encourage your community to use our coupons. Once again, the more users we have, the more confident merchants will be in posting their coupons onto our website. Therefore, the more awareness there is in your community about our coupons, the more money your group will make for its fundraising needs! Follow these steps:
Student groups and / or Sales Reps can create sample coupons that Sales reps can display during their sales visits. These sample coupons provide merchants with a visual understanding of HIMC’s services, and we guarantee that these samples will help sales reps in their efforts.
To create a sample coupon, login to your group’s dashboard and click "Sample Coupons."
Merchant Networking Strategy
Your student group will earn funds through one or more sales representatives approaching merchants in your local area. These sales reps can be members of your student group or can represent fundraise on its behalf. These reps will share your group’s fundraising needs with local merchants and will encourage them to post coupons on our website. Your group will earn $45 per coupon that your sales rep recruits to our site, and the sales rep will earn $30 commission for his/her efforts. Below are some helpful tips for your sales reps to follow.
To access our phone call sales script, sales visit handout, and other important sales materials that your sales reps will need in order to succeed, please login to your student group profile and find these materials in your dashboard.
Leave your Business Card
When your sales rep is done speaking to a merchant and answering his/her questions, your sales rep should ALWAYS leave behind your group's business card, accessible in your dashboard. Even if a merchant seems uninterested, your sales rep should still leave behind your group's business card as uninterested merchants may change their mind or may want to check out HIMC later. And if a merchant does to choose to register, your business card will help him/her to remember your group's name when registering and crediting your group and sales rep.
What To Do When The Merchant Is Interested
If at the end your sales rep's meeting with a merchant, he/she finds that the merchant is interested in registering and posting coupons on HereIsMyCoupon.com, we recommend that your rep do the following in order to seal the deal:
Student Group Code Of Conduct
In addition to your school's existing code of conduct, Here Is My Coupon provides a set of required rules and regulations in order to maintain the highest quality of professional standards.
If Here Is My Coupon is notified that a student group has violated our code of conduct, the report will be investigated and if a student group is proven guilty more than 4 times per registered year, then that group will be dissolved and all members will be forever revoked from participating in HereIsMyCoupon.com.
Students cannot create or use salacious, offensive, unapproved materials. Here Is My Coupon reserves the right to remove any unwanted material without consultation.
After merchants have registered, credited your organization and its sales rep, and activated coupons, it is important that your sales rep or a member of your group (one of your executives would be ideal) occasionally reach out to them and ask how they are enjoying their experience using HIMC. Why? If your merchants renew their HIMC coupon spaces the following year and choose to re-credit your group and its sales rep, then your group and rep will once again earn funds! That means, with just a little communication with the merchants you’ve recruited to HIMC, your group would earn another $45 and your sales rep would earn an additional $10 the following year.
It is critical to monitor:
To keep track of this info:
Recruiting new merchants to Here Is My Coupon is always a productive way to earn more funds. However, an even more effective way to increase funds is by reaching out to merchants you’ve already recruited to HIMC, and encouraging them to purchase additional coupon space(s). These merchants with experience using our system may be more likely to buy extra coupon space, then a merchant that has not yet used HereIsMyCoupon.com.
Here are a few ways to establish relationships with the merchants you’ve recruited to HIMC:
Monitor your merchants’ coupons:
Your group will receive $45 per paid merchant coupon that your sales rep(s) recruit to our site. Your group will receive this payment through Payza, Paypal, or through direct bank transfer, and the transaction can take up to 45 business days.
Your sales reps will earn $30 commission per paid merchant coupon that they recruit to our site. They will receive this payment through Payza, Paypal, or through direct bank transfer, and the transaction can take up to 45 business days.
Register your college student group for free, and identify 2 executives and a treasurer who will organize your group’s fundraising efforts.
Encourage students in your group to register as Sales Reps who will be in charge of earning funds for your group. If no one volunteers, HIMC may assign your organization a Sales Rep that has registered independently of a student group. If your executives and treasurer accept your assigned Sales Rep, this individual will fundraise on behalf of your organization.
Sales Reps call local businesses to set up appointments, approach the businesses in-person, share your group’s fundraising needs, describe the perks of using HIMC for merchants, and, finally, sell coupon space.
Your group will earn $45 per coupon space sold, and your Sales Reps will earn $30 commission per coupon space sold. As merchants are allowed up to 3 coupon spaces on our site, in just one appointment your group could earn $135 to put towards its fundraiser.
Finally, receive funds from HIMC! Your treasurer and executives will decide how your earnings will be used.
