Create And Activate A Coupon

You are now eligible to activate a coupon or edit a coupon that you or a group has made for you. Here’s what you need to know:

Select the “Coupon Management” tab
Select the “Create a Coupon” option

Create and save up to 12 coupons
Activate up to three coupons, each requiring a payment of $180

Select a promotion type for your coupon (e.g. Buy one get one free)
Customize the contents of the promotion
Enter the expiration date of the coupon
Select a category for the coupon (e.g. Chinese food, footwear, bookstore)
Provide a description of the coupon
Upload a logo or picture for the coupon (optional), Here Is My Coupon only accepts .jpeg, .gif, .bmp and .tif file formats
Select a coupon style template (includes logo placement, background colors, font size, font color, and border)
Your phone number and business address will be automatically inserted onto the coupon
Provide any necessary fine print for the coupon
Provide a 200 character comment/note on the coupon
Upload a barcode to your coupon for security purposes
View the different versions (web, e-mail, phone) of the coupon
Your coupon will automatically be saved, and you will have the option of sharing the statistics of the coupon to your credited group
An ID will be automatically generated for the coupon
Select the “Activate Coupon” option (you must have already been verified in our system to choose this option)

Remember to credit the group that spoke to you. You can give your group up to three credits with three separate coupon activations per year. Note: if you signed up during our soft release you must credit your group upon creation of your coupon and not during registration.

Choose to either use an existing account credit or a new payment to activate the coupon

Edit Or Swap A Coupon

At this point you understand the benefits of Here Is My Coupon, have registered as a merchant and have activated at least one coupon. Now you want to edit or change existing coupons. You can activate one coupon, and then switch the promotion, contents, and style for free. This allows you to try different methods to attract more business.

To swap a coupon, you must have already created and stored the new coupon you want to use as a replacement
You can store up to 12 coupons

Edit A Coupon

Select the “Coupon Management” tab
Select the “Edit Coupon” option

Note: If you edit a coupon, all accumulated points will be assigned to the new coupon

A list of your coupons will appear, this list includes sample coupons created by local community groups, organizations and groups, coupons that you have created, activated coupons, and stored but inactivate coupons
Select a coupon to edit and click the “Edit” button
A form will appear with prefilled fields of the selected coupon
You can edit the promotion type, barcode, logo/picture, input field, coupon description, template, format, fine print and category
After editing, click the “Next” button and the coupon will be automatically saved with its existing ID number
If you have already paid for the coupon, the edited coupon will be automatically activated in our system
If you have not already paid for the coupon, you can select the “Activate Coupon” option to post the edited coupon
If you select this option, refer to the “Create and Activate a Coupon” segment of the manual for instructions

Swap A Coupon

Go to our website and use your email and password to login
Select the “Coupon Management” tab
Select the “Swap Coupon” option

Note: if you swap a coupon all accumulated points will be assigned to the newly activated coupon

Select the coupon you want to deactivate (you can have a maximum of three activated coupons to choose from)
Select the coupon you want to activate
Our system will swap these two coupons without any charge

Activating this new coupon will not credit your group, you can only give them credit by activating a coupon without deactivating another
