What Does A Local Community Group, Organization, or College Student Do?
First, a group must register themselves, inputting their group’s 2 executives and treasurer. These three members will work together in deciding where the money raised through HIMC will go in order to fulfill their group’s fundraising needs. The treasurer has the extra task of receiving and recording funds received from Here Is My Coupon.
Groups must also have at least one registered HIMC Sales Rep (preferrably three or more). Sales Reps can fundraise for a group of which they ARE a member or they can represent and fundraise on behalf of a group of which they are NOT a member. Sales Reps approach local merchants, share their group’s fundraising needs, and request that merchants post coupons to HereIsMyCoupon.com. If a merchant approached by a sales rep chooses to post coupons to our site, the student group represented earns $45 and the sales rep earns $30 in commission for him/herself. Sales reps can also serve as one of their group’s executives or as the treasurer.
If a group does not have an individual that wants to work as a sales representative, Here Is My Coupon may be able to provide the group with a sales rep in the area that has previously registered. Groups can have multiple sales reps fundraising for them, and each sales rep earns $30 commission per coupon they recruit to HereIsMyCoupon.com.
Once the coupons that the sales rep(s) have recruited to our site are activated, Here Is My Coupon sends the sales reps and the student group their earned funds.
Why Should My Group Take Part In This Program?
Once a merchant approached by your group’s sales rep(s) has registered and activated coupons on our website, your group and sales reps will receive a payment directly from Here Is My Coupon. For every coupon successfully recruited to our site, the credited group earns $45 to put towards its fundraiser and the credited sales rep earns $30 commission.
In addition to earning funds for your group, those individuals involved in your group’s fundraising (the executives, treasurer, and sales reps) will gain business and communication skills that can serve as valuable resume boosters.
How Does My Group Refer A Merchant TO Here Is My Coupon?
One of your group’s sales reps will approach local merchants, share your group’s fundraising needs, and encourage merchants to post coupons on HereIsMyCoupon.com. If a merchant that your sales rep approached decides to register and post coupons on our site, your group will earn $45 to put towards its fundraiser, and your sales rep will earn $30 commission for his/her efforts.

HIMC provides Groups and Sales Reps with business cards. You can give these cards to merchants during your sales visits. As a result, merchants will have your info and thus will be able to credit you and your Sales Reps properly when they activate their Coupon Spaces.
How do we access our business cards?
***Please print your business cards on Avery Label 8371 paper.***

Merchant Networking Strategy
If people in your Group view themselves as “locals” at certain stores, restaurants, or shops, then ask your Sales Reps to approach those places first! These merchants will be more likely to join HIMC as they’ll be helping you AND helping themselves.
When considering merchants to approach, consider using newspapers, magazines, blogs, and the Internet to find them. You may be unaware of a strip of stores near you that would be more than willing to help your Group and be happy to purchase Coupon Spaces for increased traffic!
For people in your Group who want to work as Sales Reps, plan a meeting to discuss how you’ll divide and conquer the various merchants in your area.
Have each Sales Rep decide how many merchants they feel comfortable approaching within an allotted time and provide them with a section of merchants to approach.
We recommend that Sales Reps initially go in pairs when approaching merchants until they become comfortable doing outreach on their own. However, if Sales Reps go in pairs, the merchant will only credit one of them. Therefore, we recommend that one Sales Rep lead in each visit, and the “leading” rep will receive the merchant’s credit.
We also recommend that you create a target # of merchants who you want to approach (based on your fundraising needs) with deadlines to keep your Group motivated, accountable, and focused.
Merchants will feel more comfortable registering for HIMC if Sales Reps provide them with a sample coupon, a flyer, and the HIMC decal. Refer to “Group Marketing Materials” above for more information on how to access this material.
To establish future contact between your Group and merchants, it’s CRUCIAL to give them a business card after you’ve finished talking with them.
Remember that in order for your Group to make money, the merchants who you approach must credit YOUR group for its decision to purchase a Coupon Space. Therefore, a business card will help merchants remember you and credit you.
Additionally, the merchants who you speak with may also want to reach out to you via email with questions. Giving them a business card makes this communication easy!
However you want! Or however you would normally dress when representing your Group.
The best time to speak with business owners or managers is when they’re the least busy. It’s highly unlikely that a business owner will be able to speak with you during prime hours.
Therefore, we recommend looking up store hours before deciding to approach merchants. For example, it’s not a good idea to approach a restaurant on Friday nights at 7p.m.
Even if a place looks pretty empty and it seems like someone can speak with you, make sure to ask “is now a convenient time?” This courteous gesture will go a long way.
To access our phone call sales script, sales visit handout, and other important sales materials that your Sales Reps will need in order to succeed, log into your Group account. You’ll find these materials in your dashboard.
When a Sales Rep is done speaking with a merchant and answering their questions, they should ALWAYS give them your Group’s business card. Even if a merchant seems uninterested, the Sales Rep should still give them a business card, as uninterested merchants may change their mind or want to check out HIMC later. If a merchant does choose to purchase a Coupon Space, then your business card will help them remember your Group’s name when crediting your Group and Sales Rep.
Group Code of Conduct
If we’re notified that a Group has violated our Code of Conduct, then we’ll investigate. If we find a Group to violate the Code of Conduct more than 4 times per registered year , then we’ll dissolve the Group and forever revoke all members’ partnerships with HIMC.
After merchants have registered, credited your organization and its sales rep, and activated coupons, it is important that your sales rep or a member of your group (one of your executives would be ideal) occasionally reach out to them and ask how they are enjoying their experience using HIMC. Why? If your merchants renew their HIMC coupon spaces the following year and choose to re-credit your group and its sales rep, then your group and rep will once again earn funds! That means, with just a little communication with the merchants you’ve recruited to HIMC, your group would earn another $45 and your sales rep would earn an additional $10 the following year.
It is critical to monitor:
To keep track of this info:
Recruiting new merchants to Here Is My Coupon is always a productive way to earn more funds. However, an even more effective way to increase funds is by reaching out to merchants you’ve already recruited to HIMC, and encouraging them to purchase additional coupon space(s). These merchants with experience using our system may be more likely to buy extra coupon space, then a merchant that has not yet used HereIsMyCoupon.com.
Here are a few ways to establish relationships with the merchants you’ve recruited to HIMC:
Monitor your merchants’ coupons:
Your group will receive $45 per paid merchant coupon that your sales rep(s) recruit to our site. Your group will receive this payment through Braintree, Paypal, or through direct bank transfer, and the transaction can take up to 45 business days.
Your sales reps will earn $30 commission per paid merchant coupon that they recruit to our site. They will receive this payment through Braintree, Paypal, or through direct bank transfer, and the transaction can take up to 45 business days.
Register your student group for free, and identify 2 executives and a treasurer who will organize your group’s fundraising efforts.
Encourage team members in your group to register as Sales Reps who will be in charge of earning funds for your group. If no one volunteers, HIMC may assign your organization a Sales Rep that has registered independently. If your executives and treasurer accept your assigned Sales Rep, this individual will fundraise on behalf of your local community group, organization or college student group.
Sales Reps call local businesses to set up appointments, approach the businesses in-person, share your group’s fundraising needs, describe the perks of using HIMC for merchants, and, finally, sell coupon space.
Your group will earn $45 per coupon space sold, and your Sales Reps will earn $30 commission per coupon space sold. As merchants are allowed up to 3 coupon spaces on our site, in just one appointment your group could earn $135 to put towards its fundraiser.
Finally, receive funds from HIMC! Your treasurer and executives will decide how your earnings will be used.
Groups earn funds by recruiting local businesses to purchase Coupon Spaces on Here Is My
Coupon (HIMC). Each Group has at least one registered Sales Representative who recruits
local businesses to purchase Coupon Spaces. For every Coupon Space sold, HIMC pays that
Sales Rep$30 in commission and pays the Group that they represent $45.
Sounds great, right? It doesn’t stop there.Sales Reps earn an additional $10 per year when a Merchant who they recruited renews their Coupon Space and re-credits said Sales Rep. Plus, the Sales Rep’s Group earns an additional $45. That means residual income for all of you!
Convinced yet? Let’s say that you’re part of a Group with one Sales Rep working for you. In one year, you could make:
|Merchants Recruited||Sales Rep Makes||Group Earns|
You’re right, it does sound great. But why should my Group participate?
HIMC is a fundraising platform like no other. Sure, you might be earning decent funds from your
bake sales, dance-a- thons, and fun runs, but
HIMC gives you the opportunity to get more
involved in your community and support the small, local businesses that you frequent
while earning residual income at the same time.
In addition to raising money , the people who are involved in your fundraising will gain business and communication skills that can serve as > valuable resume boosters.
So how many Groups can participate in HIMC?
Each community can have an unlimited number of Groups to match the countless merchants
near you who are excited to use a platform like HIMC!
Alright, count me in! Are there any requirements for forming a Group?
Group members have to be of legal age (18+) to represent and be eligible to partner with
HIMC. Groups must also abide by our Code of Conduct while fundraising through HIMC.
I’m ready to launch my Group! What do I do next?
So how will we get paid?
Secure payments to Groups will be processed through
Braintree or through direct bank
The transaction can take up to 45 business days.
What if no one in my Group wants to be a Sales Rep?
If that’s the case, then
we may be able to provide you with a Sales Rep in the area who has
However, we highly recommend that your Group has its own Sales
Reps. There’s more potential for higher income, more
credibility with merchants,
opportunities to support local businesses in greater numbers.
